Opportunity to Perform in the Philly Thanksgiving Day Parade

The director of a musical theater production for this year’s Philadelphia 6ABC Thanksgiving Day Parade seeks high school musical theater performers!

The parade is Thursday, November 27, 2014, from about 8:30 am to noon, and it will be televised live on 6ABC/WPVI-TV to over 15 million viewers on the east coast. Last year, 8 Cheltenham Choir students shone on TV as they sang and danced to songs from “Grease.” See more here! The music this year is a “You Can’t Stop the Beat” from Hairspray.

The production’s director, Mr. Michael Hartman, is looking for experienced, well-rounded, and dedicated musical theater performers. They need to attend rehearsals Nov 16, 23 and 26, and they must be available approximately 8:30 am-noon on Nov 27. There is a $60 registration fee.

Spots are limited. Only the first 150 applications from across the SE Pennsylvania region will be accepted.

Please email Ms. Hutton by Friday, September 26 if you are interested in participating and would like to receive more details.
