Philadelphia Singers’ Mentor Program

The Philadelphia Singers have been an exquisite partner to us, especially with this year’s exclusive Chorus Connect program revolving around their Brahms’ Requiem concert.

The singers offer another fine opportunity to high school singers via their Mentorship Program. The program offers high school juniors and seniors* an extraordinary opportunity to sing with professional adult singers and the world-renowned Philadelphia Orchestra. The Singers will select a handful of students to participate in the choir’s performance of Fauré’s Requiem with the Philadelphia Orchestra in March 2014, at the Kimmel Center. A tremendous opportunity!

If you’re interested, read the program details.

Any auditionee must be available for all rehearsals and performances. The audition consists of an accompanied song demonstrating excellent vocal technique, along with two vocalises. Video submissions must be uploaded to YouTube upload by January 1. The organizers request that applicants complete and return the application form as soon as possible.

If you are interested, please let Ms. Hutton know by Monday, November 18.

(*Sophomores may apply with special recommendation from Ms. Hutton or a private voice teacher.)
